This struck me and resonated!: "Perhaps a sister question to “What is mine to do?” is “What uniquely breaks my heart?” If each of us treated that heartbreak like a precious clue, guiding us toward our specific way of contributing, maybe we could – together - love the world back to health."

Love this post, and I found myself saying, “Yes, yes!” throughout. I feel overwhelmed every day by where I should put my focus to help and contribute. I try to remember to put my gifts where I am best suited, and if everyone did that, our bases would be covered. This idea has really hit home over the last eight months when I have been working at a job that focuses on leveling the playing field in early childhood education. I have enjoyed it, but my heart keeps calling out to work in the field of developmental disabilities. I recently resigned from that job and am pivoting back to DD work. I feel optimistic and that is powerful.
